I ... would not recommend. I had to be up early Saturday morning so I got up even earlier to shave. Went well, as it was the second shave of my first Derby Extra Super Stainless blade. I also had an early start Sunday, but even earlier. To shave the day of, I would have had to get up at 3:30 AM and I wasn't about to do that. So I thought I would shave the night before.

Bad idea. It was pleasant enough at the time. Not my closest shave, not even the closest shave of the day. But as I went to put on the lotion, which has only about three drops of an alcohol based aftershave in it and nothing else that would sting, I felt a huge amount of stinging. And it didn't quit overnight. Still had a red, irritated face all the next day. That feeling if being sunburned stayed with me for the next two days, until it finally healed. It was BAD. Now, It has been a few days and I want to shave again, but I wanted to tell you all the lesson I learned. NEVER shave twice in a day. No matter how fast your facial hair grows, pogonotomy is a once-per-day activity. not more than that.

Nothing wrong with shaving twice. If you have good shaving soap. I've done it without much problems. I've been forced to do it in boot camp, so it's definitely possible.

Amnesty Intl petition against rape as punishment.

Earlier this year two sisters from a village in India were sentenced by the village council to be gang raped and shamed publicly for the violation of their brother eloping with a married higher caste woman. The women and their family have already fled, but I have to wonder how this type of punishment could even symbolically be on the table in this age? Feel free to discuss moral relativism and all of that, but if the values of this ridiculous sentencing don't match yours why not go ahead and…See More

"So perhaps you'd argue that the need for sex ed is definitely important now because of those social changes (whatever they might be) that have led to more promiscuity and resulting diseases, unwanted pregnancies etc?"

"I guess it's true that it doesn't necessarily lead to more births, but it seems to lead to more promiscuity (less fear of unwanted "results") Of course I suppose that's another debate whether or not that is a good thing."
