I ... would not recommend. I had to be up early Saturday morning so I got up even earlier to shave. Went well, as it was the second shave of my first Derby Extra Super Stainless blade. I also had an early start Sunday, but even earlier. To shave the day of, I would have had to get up at 3:30 AM and I wasn't about to do that. So I thought I would shave the night before.
Bad idea. It was pleasant enough at the time. Not my closest shave, not even the closest shave of the day. But as I went to put on the lotion, which has only about three drops of an alcohol based aftershave in it and nothing else that would sting, I felt a huge amount of stinging. And it didn't quit overnight. Still had a red, irritated face all the next day. That feeling if being sunburned stayed with me for the next two days, until it finally healed. It was BAD. Now, It has been a few days and I want to shave again, but I wanted to tell you all the lesson I learned. NEVER shave twice in a day. No matter how fast your facial hair grows, pogonotomy is a once-per-day activity. not more than that.
