Well, I did it, I got a job. In the same field, but more challenging area; more money; and closer commute with some nice travel. I was lucky, very lucky in the is economy.

I tried very hard though. I used this site a lot. I read Brett's "Hustle" like 2x per day, and the articles on TR. I worked out very strenuously every morning, mumbling to myself while lifting and running. Each evening I read technical material, and built up a portfolio. Prayed every night with as much faith as I could muster. While all day I sent out 100's of job application. I got 5 interviews with 2 companies, and connected with 3 recruiters.

I got engaged a few weeks ago, and while unemployed I found out my fiancée was pregnant. Having the feeling of going to be a dad has put a very hot fire under my ass. My girl is very supportive, weve been forged into even tighter team.

Writing a few blog posts was very helpful. I think I will continue to write more proactively. It helps organize my ideas, and its very cathartic. On that note, I want to thank everyone on AOM who responded with encouragement and feedback on my blog and sent a personal message.
