I don't know if there is a group or post about this yet, but I couldn't find one. Whether you're for the war or against the war, America is fighting and our boys are stuck thousands of miles from…Continue
"I couldn't agree with this post more! Sometimes I worry that I am starting to sound like a recruiter. I've been chewed out by a teacher and two parents so far, for suggesting to a high school senior and two college kids that they enlist. I…"
"As an Officer in the United States Army who spend 15 months overseas in Afghanistan, here's my take on supporting the troops: Enlist.
While the free candy, soap, toothbrushes, and socks are nice, most FOBs overseas are overrun with these…"
"I can't speak for the other services, but when the Army Reserve deployed me to southwest Asia six and seven years ago, I began to notice that pretty much every unit had a Family Support Group that did things like organize care packages. If…"
"This is a very good idea, however I will give you a heads up this probably isn't the best place to have this information posted. I was deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-09 and very much appreciated having groups back home send us care…"
"I'm leaving on Halloween, so I'll have an address for you guys in a couple weeks, but I can tell you what we need. Q tips and baby wipes. That covers most of the personal hygiene stuff, everyone has their own personal opinions for stuff…"
I don't know if there is a group or post about this yet, but I couldn't find one. Whether you're for the war or against the war, America is fighting and our boys are stuck thousands of miles from home. Some of these men have never been out of their county, never been away from home and are putting their lives on the line for our freedom. I was hoping that this could be a place where any combat deployed soildger could put his company's contact info on the wall here along with a list of what he…See More
"Hey man, thanks for your service. Are you still deployed or home? My father was an Army man, I have more respect than you can even know for what you boys are doing over there. If you're still deployed, I'd love to have your mailing…"

"I"ve been having this problem a lot with my local bar. I live in East Harlem, NYC, and it's an awesome bar but tends to attract the wrong crowd on weekends. I live between two projects and the bar the kids from the projects usually went to…"
"I've always gone back and forth on tipping. Why should I pay someone for doing their job? Yet, shouldn't people be rewarded on good work. That has led me to be quite the extreme tipper. I've tipped up to 30%, but I also have no…"
"I think tipping the maid staff at a hotle is huge. My father taught me this, as he as in the army and therefore on the road a lot. He always said "you'd be suprided what a few bucks can do to your room." Whenever I travel with him,…"
I'm an Army Brat who grew up in Seoul, just recently graduated and now working in the Advertising industry in NYC. I love engaging in intellectual discussions (be it religious, political, socio-econimical or anything that anyone has an opinion on). The daily grind of wake up, work, sleep has been taking its toll which is what brings me here. Its great to find a community where we can discuss and do man things. Maybe cut down a tree, build a fire, kill a bear. You know , man things. haha.

Yeah, it's weird. I could go to Florida for the holidays and go to a French Canadian bank, get coffee at Tim Horton's, attend French Canadian Xmas mass, attends French Canadian NYE parties, etc.
