Where to start?

I am looking to get into home brewing, and need a little guidance on how to get off the ground. Can anyone recommend a good starter kit? Should I scrap the kits all together and go find a mentor (There is a brewery in my town, so that shouldn’t be all that hard)? Furthermore, as someone who has just turned 21, can anyone recommend a good recipe? If it matters, my preference is to Guinness. All the best,Will S.See More
