This maybe has nothing to do with anything but as I was laying in bed last night this thought occurred.
Hope and change. Something we all strive for. To better ourselves. Something our president got elected on last time. Something he just won four more years based on, more than likely. What's wrong with hope and change? Why do the republicans and our country as a whole, seem so opposed to it. Hope and change empowers someone like Barack Obama to run and get elected. Let's face…

Okay, I didn't know Hunter Hayes so I looked him up on YouTube. Have to pass. A bit too young and white bread for me. And to be honest, I'm not sure I could pick a Carrie Underwood song out of a lineup, so I gave her a listen too.
Well, okay, I did recognize the "Before He Cheats" song, and I listened to the song "Just a Dream." Yeah, none of that stuff is really my thing. Though I'll concede she has a strong voice. I like either vintage country -- Grand Ol' Oprey stuff, or old Dolly, Ronnie Milsap, etc. -- or bluegrass, hillbilly fiddlin' stuff.
Like you, my musical tastes are really broad, though I have a very strong predilection to increadibly strange music:
And incredibly bad music:
Or dark music:
And a lot of stuff in between. I've posted a lot in the AoM Audiophiles group, so check out my posts if you have time, and inclination.
Hey Victor, just wanted to say welcome to The Great Debate. Great to have you with us.
Thanks for the add. You know, I just recently discovered Florence + the Machine myself. Not sure why she was under my radar for so long. I don't love everything, but the songs I do like I like very, very much. Especially this one:
I checked out Lady Antebellum, but I liked their music better than their vocalist. Are you familiar with the Carolina Chocolate Drops? Not sure if that'd be your thing.
