"1. Bass Pro Shop or Cabela's is a good place to start. Are either near you? They offer fishing and hunting classes and seminars periodically. 2. No idea. 3. Train at an MMA gym. Classic boxing won't be that helpful in a real fight. The…"

Profanity and Vulgarity

My two 30-something sons tape a cable show called Penn & Teller: Bullshit! and I watch an episode every so often when I'm in the mood for something humorous and a bit risqué. Sir replied to Joshua M's discussion How important is your choice of college major (Particularly for Engineering)?
"Depends on the college.  Some are diploma mills and some are excellent.  Before someone says "like here," I'll say:  not like here.  Greater range."

Jack Bauer replied to John Muir's discussion Now the time for a gas tax to pay off the national debt? in the group The Great Debate
"Makes some sense.  If you overspend yourself into credit card debt ... cutting-up the credit cards cuts your effective income, and using your actual income to pay it off reduces does so further.  Less to spend because you already spent…"
