I was wondering if you fine fellas could give me any ideas to open up my networking options.I know a lot of people out there in the states rely upon their allumni network(which is a great thing) but personally Ive moved to a different country and therefore my own allumni network is not so helpful.Hoping someone out there could give me ideas concerning organizations or groups to think about as I'm trying to get a few rungs up the corporate ladder cheers,See More

1st milestone

Posted on October 11, 2012 at 6:55am 1 Comment

So I couldnt get a full workout in last time due to time restrictions caused by the wifes' work commitment so I just jumped in the pool.

Turns out I swam the furthest I have swam since I was a teenager!

I managed 32 lengths of the pool- which is about 800m or half a mile!!!!

Sounds so much better when you talk about it in those terms!!!

First week down and over with!!! haha-  Hasnt been that bad really.  I've actually enjoyed the training and I feel fantastic.

Still have slight knee pain and tenderness but I have decided thats a tight muscle issue that I'm trying to fix with stretching and Yoga daily instead of anything mechanical in the knee joint itself- ha famous last words!

Looks like my life in the forseeable future will revolve around the Y here-  as the snow is coming soon and…

Its silly because I dont have a bike yet and havent run a whole lot due to a painful knee and a twisted ankle.

I planned on writing a post every week or month to help keep me honest with the training

Today was day 1of a 22week journey,   Started with a 20 minute run and a 200yard…

Raising a Child Without Religion, or Faith

Every two or three blocks on the avenues of downtown Brooklyn, a big old stone church rises from the ranks of the brownstones. A couple of weeks ago, my little boy Felix pulled his trike to the curb and squinted at the steeple of one."What's that castle, Da-da?""It's not a castle, it's a church.""What's a church?""It's a place where people go to worship god.""What's god?""God is a concept some people believe in. A creative force, I guess you'd say.""Huh."And with that, he rode on. I must admit,…See More
