"I didn't realize there was a fly fishing specific group. I just picked up fly fishing, after decades of more "regular" fishing. Having a blast - got my first trout a couple weeks ago - very memorable experience. "

How to open chapagne.

Posted on April 27, 2012 at 10:10am 2 Comments

I often become the designated opener of bubbly at parties.  It's really a unique skill that can't be applied to much else.   I mean if you can open a bottle of wine you can open the vast majority bottles of wine in the world.  If you can open a beer bottle, your an expert for 99% of what's out there.   If you can open a can... forget about it.  But there really isn't any thing that can be applied to learn how to open sparking wine.  So here's how to do it to maintain the carbonation and…

Mystery Team

Funniest movie since 'The Hangover'. Kid you not. It's about three guys that were a crime solving team as kids and though they grew older they never grew up. So you have these G rated characters in an R rated world trying to solve a double homicide. Must see.

Should I take this job in Philadelphia?

Some family members from around Philly are encouraging me to take a job in the area. I have two concerns about it. First, it's working a call center, which I'm pretty sure is a dead-end career path. I currently work at a non-profit that specializes in child welfare. My current agency is a horribly mismanaged and hostile environment, but at least what I'm doing can springboard to program management/coordination elsewhere (though I haven't had any luck so far and I've been looking for almost a…See More
