Most useful advice in "Art of Manliness" (the book)

I assume pretty much all of us have read AoM since that's what this site is based on. Wondering about what everyone thought was the most interesting/pote tially useful part. My favourite was the part on gentlemanly street defense using bartitsu mixed martial arts. I'm upgrading my wardrobe and I like how I can know how to defend myself in that attire in case someone gives me trouble in a back alley or something.it advocates for not fighting, if possible, but in case that's not possible, they…See More

Long time lurker, first time member. I'm curious, how many of y'all have read The Art of Manliness and what was your favorite parts?I read it only recently, and loved it (which is why I just now joined the forum. Haha)My favorite parts were on how to dress like a gentleman and how to street fight like a gentleman. I ordered myself a tribly only yesterday (hopefully I won't have to use it for self defense, bartitsu-style. Haha)!See More

"Yuup. I wear a watch. I have a citizen and a bulova, which are pretty classy. I also have two swatches, which are sportier/more casual. I also have one of those old school $25 Casio ones for yardwork and when working on the car."

"Yes.  Saw a ring of fire around a black disk.  Supposedly it was the corona, but it was plenty bright. Had so much fun looking thru my 2 pinhole cameras, seeing it on my tablet, and an occasional look thru eclipse glasses."
