Good Afternoon

Nice to meet all of you. I am a native Southerner (although if you ask my family we'll say we're German) moving to Colorado to begin my Master's degree. My educational background is in psychology, and I may or may not decide to pursue a career in counseling or education. I am an avid fan of video games, horror movies, and anything to do with fictional end-of-the-world scenarios. I also enjoy tabletop roleplaying games. For various reasons my path in life has meandered quite a bit. I hope that by…See More

Profile Information

Interests
My big projects right now are learning to play the guitar, teaching myself German and Japanese, and writing a novella. I would like to start getting into better shape and learning some survival skills.
Books
The Dark Tower series by Stephen King, Geek Love by Katherine Dunn, and Watership Down by Richard Adams are my all time favorites. There are far too many others that I enjoy to list.
Movies
I enjoy horror movies quite a bit. It's crass, but my favorites are probably The Devil's Rejects and House of 1,000 Corpses. The Poughkeepsie Tapes is also excellent.
Music
Right now I'm listening to a lot of My Chemical Romance. My younger sister is a big fan of theirs and I've begun to develop a taste for them. I also enjoy The Moody Blues, Gin Blossoms, and Jimmy Buffet.

"I am a hairy guy and I am proud of it...I see it as part of my being male and being a man. I, personally, think shaving off chest and body hair is a form of gender emasculation (I except trimming excessive hair in the groin area). I am proud of the…"

"When I run into a guy with a really good looking beard, I stop them politely and ask them about it; how long it took to grow it, how often they trim it, what balms, oil, or waxes they may use. So far, I have probably stopped close to 2 dozen…"
