So true, A number of years ago in Bonner County the building department was becoming to draconian in the zoning laws and codes being passed.  To make a long story short the whole department was fired and their computers were auctioned off, and you know what the buildings are not falling over.

That is a beautiful time of year up there, with really long days.  The water in the lakes are at the perfect temperature for swimming and boating.  we made it almost up to Canadian border on a trip last summer, I want to make it up there for a couple of weeks in the winter some time.  I hear the snow is pretty sweet, and I have spent most of my life in Colorado.
