"JD. It's really a non-issue and I should not have brought it up. If you like the goatee, or if you like facial hair, grow it. You don't need to come up with an excuse such as vision. Just do it because you like it. If others have an issue…"

I am an Evil Bastard!

Conservatives have been demonized by the media. The demeaning pejorative “Tea Baggers” was used to characterize the Tea Party protestors. If you don’t agree with the liberal politicians’ health care proposals, you’re “cold hearted” and “cruel”. If you disagree with Obama’s policies and political stances, you’re labeled a racist. There are radical extremists in the White House such as:

Ron Bloom, the White House's manufacturing czar who said: “In today’s world the blather about… Continue

ART AND THE WARRIOR

Posted on September 15, 2009 at 10:00pm 2 Comments

Symbols of power and spirituality have always been important to warriors. From the beginning of time warriors have sought power. Symbols are/were used to internalize spiritual beliefs to harness or summon power. Some believe(d) that symbols summon spiritual beings be they gods, demons, spirit guides, ancestral spirits, or the power of nature. Those symbols were the sources of power and works of ancient and modern art.

Discipline brings strength and purposefulness. Warrior cultures… Continue

I have a friend that just earned a DMA in Theatrical Music. She’s very attractive and we’ve dated off and on for a few years. We went out for dinner then dancing. On the way home I asked her out to dinner for next Wednesday. She declined and said she was going to the musical Wicked. I told her I was jealous, I’ve wanted to see wicked but can’t afford the time or money to travel to see it. She looked at me like aliens had taken over my body. Then she called me a liar! She accused me of having… Continue

Hello there! I noticed on one of your previous thread posts that you carry a gun with you either concealed or unconcealed. I thought you might be interested in joining my new group called the Concealed Carry Club. Here is a link to the club:

I would like to say that students today simply aren't as disciplined as people used to be. However, I tried taekwondo three times in years gone by and never got past the first month or so on any of the attemps---the first in college at age 20, the next about 5 years later, and again in my late 30s. Finally, at age 44 I tried one more time and stuck with it, earning my first-dan black belt four years later. Now, going on 53, I'm in the best shape of my life and run my own school. So I learned discipline a little late.
