"Reasonable assumption. That got marketed I think with Jeff Cooper's Scout Rifle. Saddle gun is probably a better word. Good for 50yds, ok out to a hundred. Nice and heavy for brush shooting. Decent mag capacity with rounds to match your pistol.…"

"Felt recoil was obnoxious. I think it was the lighter weight and thinner butt. Might have been something in the barrel tuning as well. IIRC the report was louder and sharper. More crack less boom. Plenty of folks like them tho."
