First straight razor (cut throat) - is getting old one good idea?

Welcome Gentlemen,Recently I have been thinking about getting myself a cut throat. I've been shaving with a safety razor for a year or so, and I think I'm ready to take another step. Although before I'll buy one, I'm looking for many different razors, so I'll choose a good one, even on an ebay-like site (mainly because of economical reasons). I have noticed that I can buy a quite nice straight razors. Especially few caught my attention - those are old cut throats, all dating back to World War…See More

Any good alternative for Gold Bond powder?

Hello Gentlemen.I read a lot about how good Gold Bond is, both on AoM and other websites. But after doing lots of search around, I couldn't find any place to buy it here, in Ireland. I know I could use Amazon to buy it, but I would prefer to first try it, and the postage to Ireland costs twice as much as the Gold Bond itself. So I was wondering, if there's any good alternative to it. Few would be preferred, as Ireland isn't a big country and some alternatives might not be available here as…See More

20 year old looking for advice from you "white collar" gents.....is the money worth it?

This has always been the area I've struggled with most in my life....finding out what to do for a career. I've never had a passion for one specific thing. There isn't one job that seems to "stick out" over the others. I'm kind of in every direction when it comes to choosing careers. One day I'll think welder, the next it's logistics, the next it's cyber security. At 20 years old this feeling of uncertainty is not where I want to be, so I'm really trying to figure out not just what I want to do…See More
