Nick Theophilou replied to Dave's discussion How do I support my dad?
"Your question is fine.  You want to support him. That's good enough.  You could ask him how you can support him.  If he doesn't know, then ask yourself, or discuss with someone else how, given their knowledge of him, what…"

i joined 'the art of manliness' yesterday, having visited the site a few times over the last few months.  The variety of articles and forums have been food for thought.  Blogs are something i need to get used to; it's always difficult to write something succinct that makes sense.

In a few weeks i hope to release my first ebook about men.  With men it's interesting. Many have stepped up to the plate and asking for a greater partnership with their significant other.  This is a great change since the eighties, in australia.  Come to think of it, that might be a good blog to start if i can't find something similar happening.  Anyway, enough for now.  This is my first post.  Happy to meet you all  at the Art of Manliness

Oh yes, when i find a photo of me that isn't terrible, i will add it to my profile

Stand Up Comedy and the Art of Humor

What's up everyone?*TLDR AT BOTTOM*I have a question for you guys: Who here has done stand up comedy once or more? If you have done so, share your experience! If you have any questions about comedy in general or performing, let me know and I'll try to answer to the best of my ability!I've started going up on stage and find it to be an exhilarating experience. I would recommend it to anyone because I believe it has a multitude of benefits. _________First of all, it can help you answer a question…See More

"I read a tablet when it's cheaper to get the Kindle than a used book, but I prefer the physical book. I was hopeful that I could get stuff from Japan by Kindle so I wouldn't have to pay intercontinental shipping! but every time I try to…"

Liam Strain replied to Ian M's discussion Girlfriend was flirting with one my friends - am I over-reacting?
"As my wife says "I'm married, but I'm not dead." I trust her implicitly and know that she would never take anything beyond flirtation. Would it bother me? Maybe, depends on the situation (and if I was being ignored). But…"

"I've done both and enjoy both. Tablets let you carry tons of books in lightweight form, and it's easy to read, adjust lighting, and change text size.  I enjoy physical books as well. They can be beautiful artifacts in and of…"
