"Two ideas 1) Best way I've found to enjoy helping others is to start doing it, you tend to find the enjoyment during the activity. You say you used to be more selfLESS, I expect those attitudes and such are still inside you, just buried by…"

Overcoming Selfishness

As years go by, I find that I am becoming more and more selfish. I don't care to listen to what others have to say to me and tend to let my mind wander. I always seem to be concerned more about my own interests rather than the interests of others, including my wife. I didn't used to be this way, in fact I was quite the opposite. I think there may have been a time when I decided it was time to start taking care of myself, but I've let it go too far.I realise the first step is acknowledging the…See More

Mike S. replied to Raul Duron Jr.'s discussion How can I improve my leadership abilities?
"You can read books and posts, but what it really comes down to is experience and trial by fire. I've been an NCO for six years and I'm still developing my leadership style. Something to consider though is lessons learned from past and…"

Mike S. replied to Andrew Ross's discussion Why do you choose to wear the underwear you wear?
