Overcoming Selfishness

As years go by, I find that I am becoming more and more selfish. I don't care to listen to what others have to say to me and tend to let my mind wander. I always seem to be concerned more about my own interests rather than the interests of others, including my wife. I didn't used to be this way, in fact I was quite the opposite. I think there may have been a time when I decided it was time to start taking care of myself, but I've let it go too far.I realise the first step is acknowledging the…See More

Mike S. replied to Raul Duron Jr.'s discussion How can I improve my leadership abilities?
"You can read books and posts, but what it really comes down to is experience and trial by fire. I've been an NCO for six years and I'm still developing my leadership style. Something to consider though is lessons learned from past and…"

"I think that is a fair assessment. He does some good stuff at the Hayden planetarium though. With that said, between him and Bill Nye, I think Nye holds the torch a bit better, though I may be a bit biased as he is my childhood role model and the…"

Mike S. replied to Titus Techera's discussion Mr. Tyson, the clown in the group The Great Debate

Mike S. replied to Andrew Ross's discussion Why do you choose to wear the underwear you wear?
"So far, these boxer briefs from jockey have been the best. They don't ride up much at all compared to anything else I've tried. They have a good elasticity so they don't lose their shape which is a problem I've had with…"
