Wow, some excellent picks so far! I'd like to add a few to the mix. Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs--both from Tarantino flicks--are pretty awesome.

Larry Carlton - Last Nite. My taste for everything else comes and goes, but I can listen to this one weekly and not get tired of it. I'd put it on my desert island list.

Fall ... my favorite time of the year

September 22, 2009

Today Spencer and I rode our bicycles out to the campus of Michigan State University (over 30 miles round trip from me), I wanted to take some pictures with my new camera Susan got me for my birthday. My Mom works on campus so we paid her a visit before venturing out to snap some pictures. I will head out once again when the leaves start to turn color. I'm a big fan of the ducks that are on the Red Cedar River that runs through campus. I took some of the river, the ducks and… Continue

thehuhman's Father's Day blog was wonderful and allowed me a chance to reflect on how good I really do have it in the current turbulent times we live in. I had wrote a couple of poems in honor of my Father who passed away January 1990 at the age of 45. Which I'm only two years from that so I think about it, but dwell on it. My father was a diabetic since the age of 11. My 20 year son is also diabetic since the age of four, now the technology is far greater now then in 1956 so I wish for a long l… Continue

MEN: Please tell me chivalry is not dead?

I was raised that a man holds the door open for a woman, offers to carry heavy items or perform a dirty task as in a tire change. But a new generation of females has me questioning the values instilled in me. On three different occasions now I have been flat out told to don't bother for one reason or other. First incident, I was holding the door open for a lesbian couple and was told don't bother, she's not changing sides. This floored me for one, because I'm very accepting of all lifestyles and… Continue

She may only be 12 but . . .

My daughter understands that FREEDOM is not free. Her 6th grade class was giving a picture of the Liberty Bell and was asked to write a poem based on the first letter of each making up LIBERTY. This is what she came up with …

Loving our
Independence and
Brave soldiers that fight
Every battle to give us
Rights
To live the way we do
Your bravery keeps us free.

Hey Michael,

Thanks for the warm welcome. Sorry i did not get to reply sooner. I've been busy as a bee keeping my blog on this site up to date. I feel I am being well received well by the community and I can not think of a better place for me to share my manly knowledge of what to wear and when. Thanks again.
