"I agree that the second photo is all wrong.  I also agree that you and your friend look dashing in your hats. But please elaborate on Picture #1 in your "What Not To Do" category.  Is it just the one-inch brim?  I have a…"

"TY sir, and I know exactly what you mean. When somebody says fedora today it brings to mind the two terrible images at the top rather than what a proper fedora is. "

"Don't get me wrong...I have nothing against the driving cap per se. It's just becoming difficult to differentiate the style from the...uh...genre? Lifestyle? Look? Well, you get the idea. "

"Thanks for the reply! I will disagree with you in one tiny way, I think a CLASSIC driving cap looks fantastic. I would also explore flatcaps and newsboys as well. Your wife may be on the right track just buy vintage. "

"Excellent! Another common hipster-appropriated hat fashion I've seen a great deal recently is the driving cap. I have a Tilley T3 that I wear pretty much every day, but my wife seems to think a driving cap would look great on me. When she says…"

Nothing is more frustrating then seeing some wannabe wear a hat that is two sizes too small for his head and sits on top of his hair. So I thought I would post a few photos for guys new to the hat world about how to avoid such a thing. First the WHAT TO…See More

"Having tried out a few hundred fountain pens, I was left unimpressed by MontBlanc. They are simply not writing tools, but rather fashion accessories that look better in your shirt pocket than in your hand. "

"You can't go wrong with a Cross pen. I would also recommend a rather odd one out, the Lamy Persona. Lamy isn't your typical high-end pen maker, rather the opposite in fact, but they made this one exquisite gem which I would recommend very…"

"Another German brand: Mont Blanc. For many a Mont Blanc 'Meisterstueck' is the pen to have. To me, apart from being expensive, a Meisterstueck is a bit too big."
