Liam S. said… Te aves baxtalo! Personally, I do not have a problem with the use of the word gypsy - as with anything, it is how it is used, that is important. I do try to limit my use of it, it is not how we ever referred to ourselves, and I know some people do view it as a slur, as you say. Usually I introduce myself as roma, and then follow up with gypsy when I inevitably have to explain what roma is. So I use it educationally... Everyone has their own feelings on it though.
