Recommendations for a 12" benchtop disk sander?

I'm in the process of assembling a woodworking shop, and in the market for a nice bench model disk sander (freestanding models are nice, but I'm limited on space in the garage).Any suggestions for something in the 12" range?  I'm comparing a Grizzly, Delta, and a Central Machinery (Harbor Freight) model, and trying to keep the bill under 250$.  Ideas?See More

Whoever controls the media... controls the culture.

"Whoever controls the media, the images, controls the culture."- Allen GinsbergThose of us over 30 have probably had at least a few moments in recent years when we've taken close, hard looks at society and wonder, "What happened to us?"  The changes come slowly, patiently, and unrelentingly, but they are always coming.“If by any chance a playwright wishes to express a political opinion or a moral opinion or a philosophy, he must be a good enough craftsman to do it with so much spice of…See More

Card-sized abacus

Some of the guys I sail with enjoy a good game of cards from time to time, and I thought it would be handy to build a miniature abacus with the same dimensions as the cards for keeping score.  Beats pen and paper!Yet to be completed:- Installing an internal wall to separate unit counters- Installing the 1/16" stainless steel rod…See More
