"You mean my Catholic School education, which was run by the a group of man-hating machines in nuns' garb, was less than ideal?? lol"

"I think it's rather complicated. As a father of two girls, I see the social networks that girls set up amongst themselves to be as distracting as anything boys in the classroom can come up with."

"I read some study years ago - wish I could find it - that segregated schools were better for education. But the study focused upon girls' schools; the girls who were there felt more comfortable, less distracted, more able to concentrate on…"

"I totally support coeducation; let the kids segregate themselves (which is what happens anyway). As a society men and women need to get along, why retard that in childhood?"

"If you don't deal with females growing up then how will you learn how to relate to them as an adult? I assume growing up in an all boys school your only contact with school girls will be via shared pornography. Not a healthy start."

" Having gone to a single sex college, this was not my experience. The lack of women, and the overcompensation for their lack (both by students and professors), is just as big a distraction. "

Liam Strain replied to Krzysztof Nowak's discussion Are coeducational schools good for boys?
"Having been both coeducational schools (grade school-highschool), and single sex education school (college), my opinion is that coeducation is better - far better for a few reasons, not the least of which is because that's the nature of the…"

"Excellent points, Rob, but I think you are confusing two issues here. The original question was if single gender schools are better as compared to co-ed. I insist that they are.  In this case it absolutely is the presence of the opposite…"

Suffering Fools and Idiots

The older I get the less time I want to be around / spend time with / listen to / talk with / argue with / Fs and Is.  Any more I give them a courtesy listen then move on. This includes guys at work and even some former friends.  I guess I just don't care that much anymore.  Yes, I have a wide variety of friends.  I just feel I want my life to be a little more contented.  BTW It seems like it is almost always men.  Life is not always hard but it can often be difficult.See More
