Hello all,I've only just begun my endeavor into AoM, so I thought I would put up a unique (or perhaps otherwise) discussion on the types of fighting arts (aka martial arts) you may practice in your…Continue

Intro

Hello all,Just thought I'd take some time to introduce myself! The name is Josh (obviously). I'm almost 6 weeks into my first attempt at growing my beard out. It's pretty awesome, a friggin' difficult sometimes. Being only 23, I'm pretty happy with my beard growth as of yet. I expect by the time I'm in my 30's, I'll have a pretty burly beard to sport at my leisure.Anyways, I'll be posting some pics of my hair here soon. Might as well right? Thanks everyone!See More

Favorite Lift!

This is probably my favorite group on AoM, just because of its premise. I love it.So we've all got a favorite lift. There are so many out there, but really there's always one that really gets your juices flowing and ignites the flame of ambition. So what's your favorite lift? Why is it your favorite lift? And just for fun, what's the most weight you've ever pulled, pushed, moved, or what have you?I'll start with mine: the deadlift. In my opinion, it's THE lift for anyone looking to build mass of…See More

The Psychology & Physiology of Combat: Your Experience

Fellow warriors,Often, many of us are apt to train, read, and research to the ends of the earth. At least in my case, I can't help but constantly research and train for something that I believe to be inevitable (though statistically it is quite minute): combat. However, for all this training, reading, and researching, only the most experienced and hardened of us are truly prepared for combat. Even the veteran martial artist can freeze when a .45 is drawn and pointed at them. Even the hard…See More
