Profile Information

Interests
Cars, computers, animal welfare and rescue, educating folks about Personal Property & Casualty insurance (home/auto/umbrella)....I'm an INDEPENDENT Insurance Agent in Georgia, spending time with my niece and nephew, also love to spend time with my parents and my 93-year old grandmother every chance I get!
Books
How about TV shows instead of Books...

SUPERNATURAL, White Collar, Suits, Major Crimes, The Mindy Project, Smallville, CSI:Miami, and almost anything on H2 (formerly History International).

I was a devout fan of Criminal Minds from Season 2 thru Season 7. Due to the departure of Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) at the end of Season 7 and the events leading up to her demise during Seasons 6 and 7, I have made the very difficult decision to boycott the show and no longer watch any new episodes! Brewster and the lovely A.J. Cook (Jennifer Jareau or J.J.) were treated with the utmost disrespect and with cruelty and malice by the unethical show execs. Despite being treated so horribly and with such blatant hatred, neither actress spoke a single unkind word and handled the situation with the utmost class!
Movies
The Blind Side, Rudy, Sliding Doors, Big Eden, all the Muppet movies, The Transporter, Gone In 60 Seconds, Second Hand Lions, Sordid Lives, National Treasure, The Queen (Hellen Mirren), Tucker, (guilty pleasure) Romy & Michelle's High School Reunion
Music
I gravitate toward female singers with powerful and unique voices. I grew up with my mom's music- Linda Rondstadt, Carole King, Olivia Newton-John (early years), Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline and even Anne Murray. =)

I have been a HUGE fan of Pat Benatar for my entire life (born in 1975). She was one of the first true female ROCKERS and even now, at the age of 60, she can still rock! Her mother was an opera singer and Pat planned to follow in her footsteps. She spent several years of her youth on voice training before deciding to rebel and be THE rocker chick! If you listen to some of the soaring vocals on songs like Shadows of The Night, you can hear the trained vocals paired with hard rock and she was the FIRST and the BEST to ever pull that off!

My other favorites are Kelly Clarkson, Martina McBride and Amy Lee (Evanescence). I also enjoy Carrie Underwood, Sara Evans, Melissa Etheridge and (don't laugh) Amy Grant.

There are very few male singers that I like, but there are a few exceptional talents that I really enjoy- Maroon5, Train, Bruno Mars and Tim McGraw are at the top of that very short list!

"To talk without thinking is to shoot without aiming."

“Monsters are real, and ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win.” - Stephen King

“Why is it that when we talk to God we’re said to be praying, but when God talks to us we’re schizophrenic?” - Lily Tomlin

"I heard Jesus, He drank wine and I bet we'd get along just fine. He could calm the storm and heal the blind and I bet He'd understand a heart like mine." - Miranda Lambert song "Heart Like Mine"
