Name for Beer Lovers

Being that I encourage beer drinking, not as some hooligan activity, but as an art form elevated to the epicurian heights of wine tasting, I propose a new name for our brotherhood of those who recognize the art and craft of beer making, and appreciate the subtle aspects of flavor.  The ancient Greek work for beer was Zythos (yes, even the ancient Greeks had beer), so from that I've coined the term Zythosophile, and/or Zythophile.  Personally I like Zythophile better. Any takers?P.S. Why is…See More

Beer App

There are a couple of good Beer Apps that I've found, and wanted to share with my fellow aleophiles (I don't think that's a word, but it should be).  The two that I'm trying out were free, and are called "Beer" and "Beer Genie."  What they do is enable you to write down taste taking notes and remarks about the various beers that you try.  They have their differences, and I'm still deciding which one I like better, but I'm leaning towards "Beer."  From the reviews, the only problem is that it…See More

Teacher Apparel

Good Morning fellow Gents,I am in the process of updating my teacher wardrobe.  I'm trying to make myself more professional appearing.  What I'm looking for is suggestions.  Obviously suits are going overboard, but where do we incorporate seriousness and sophistication into our teacher job attire?  I think most male teachers dress pretty casually, and some of that should be encouraged, but what do you guys wear?  Do you wear slacks, dress shirt and ties?  If not, what is your look?See More

The Art of Warriorness

Just as Sun Tzu’s “The Art of War,” has been applied to many different aspects of modern life; I believe there are many great lessons to be learned from all of the warriors and warrior societies, from SEALS to Samurais, and Spetsnaz to Spartans.
