Fridge chalkboard and magnets

Hi there folks! I'm trying to attach a chalkboard to the fridge in my house. It's galvanized steel sheet metal painted with chalkboard paint. The thing is, it's either too heavy or "slippery." I bought 100 magnets where each one can hold up 2.5 pounds. I put on several dozen magnets and this relatively light piece of metal just slides down the fridge.
