Interests
-Correcting the erroneous and unpleasurable condition of modern society.
-Resurecting the enjoyable traditions, practices and aesthetic principles having to do with the social condition of the late Victorian era and early 20th century (without all of the unneeded sexism, racism and classism) so as to create a better world to-day - a goal this site seems so excellently to encourage.
-Antiquities of all sorts.
-the Performing arts
-the Grand Outdoors
-the pleasures of being human, large and small
Books
-the Nonsensical U.S.A. (c. 1912)
-Devil in the White City
-Three Weeks (c. 1907)
-The Poetical Works of Thomas Campbell (c. 1851)
-Countless others
Movies
My favorite movie list tends to change offen. While I love possibly hundreds of movies, I will list my most current favorite three:
-Used Cars
-Inception
-Somewhere In Time
Music
I uphold an appreiciation of music from most legitamite genres of music. (I consider metal (though I've no problem with anvil choruses), rap, hip-hop (except those which are entertaining due to their comedic value), and the nameless bastard spawn of country/western and 1990's/2000's pop to be illegitamite music generes, and worthy of elimination from the earth.) Concisely, I most notably love most popular music from the 1860's through the 1950's (and chamber/orchestral music of the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras, of course)

Jakob,  I just left a comment on the Satorialists, saw your screen picture.  The gentleman must be your grandfather. Great looking man.

Anyway I was reading your profile and came across your movie favorites.  I haven't seen 'Somewhere in Time' in quite a while but I do own it.  Such an awesome movie.

Glad to have you here at AoM.
