Gilets, Bodywarmers & Down Vests

I'm a 6' 2" guy who likes wearing gilets, I own 5 in total. I'm just looking for advice though on what other people wear with their gilets so I can try out some new looks.

"Fitted Polos work fine.  I also like some Patagonia shirts.  The shirts should always be tucked in.  Except when they should not.  Which only really applies to shirts with a square bottom and only when they are not buttoned up.…"

"For casual my defaults are a shirt with a collar, dark blue jeans and brogues or oxfords.    Add that vest and you have a light warm layer and a place for your phone.   I work in IT so I can ware it to work also.  I just…"

"Yeah I'm more of a fan of the puffy look, although I'm not a stranger to wearing waistcoats or vests with light  padding. It might sound weird but I prefer having less on my arms."

"Have you looked at non-puffy vests?  Or is the puffy look you like?"

"Great weekender look.  Between the shirt and jeans you are not in work mode. Once you do that, (weekend casual mode) you have a lot of variance.   I still don't like puffy collars but this is an outdoor functional jacket.  So its…"

"Here's a slightly more standard style I went for. I'm hoping to try at rugged look at some point with a casual shirt on under a black vest but I'm not sure what shirt to get so any advice there would be great."
