Quote
"There will be in the next generation or so a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude and producing dictatorship without tears so to speak. Producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda, or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods. And this seems to be the final revolution."
- Aldous Huxley, Tavistock Group, California Medical School, 1961 -

The Religion of Politics (aka the Politics of Religion)

Religion, (organized GroupThink), is often confused with Spirituality, which is a personal thing between you & God/No God... & the most heinous thuggery & buggery is committed in the Name of delirious illusionary projections of deity by various factions in order to manipulate & control their own people or justify the wholesale plunder of the resources of another...

In discussing the existence of a Transcendental Omniscience, I have found Atheists & Theists to both employ the same logical fallacies in order to reinforce their chosen paradigm, it usually can be distilled down to the unprovable Assumptions, conscious or otherwise, as the starting point for the premises upon which one constructs their own perceptions of reality... Just like Partisan Political ideologues, both "camps" delight in taking pot-shots at the "Straw-men" guarding the other's nakedness, without recognizing the fuzzy logic they unwittingly utilize to bolster their own unexamined "belief" system, like the proverbial emperor's clothes... This rings true for secular humanists & scientific materialists (Marxists & Eugenicists) as much as it does for the religious zealots (Crusades & Inquisitions)... each faction have killed untold millions...

"God" can neither be proven or disproven with Logic, nor can it be measured with empirical science, so it boils down to a matter of choice for the individual who then predicates their world-view on that Axiom... but that is no reason to abandon Critical Thinking or civility in discussing such a thing... in the end, all of the philosophy in the world without the basis of a Divine creator, the Uncaused Cause, is just intellectual vanity, an exercise in glorified mental manipulation...
