"Our cats are indoors all the time.  They are loved, well fed and fea & tick free.We think that it is best to have two however so they have someone to be with while we are out.  When we had one die the other was not happy until we…"

"You shouldn't group cats and dogs into the same category first of all. They are different animals. I have had dogs all my life. For the most part, they belong indoors. They are social animals, and more human-oriented than cats are. They…"

"Animals are animals, their natural instinct is to roam, run and hunt. Let them do just that, they will be a lot happier than being cooped up all day. Just like humans, you'd go crazy if you spent all your time inside."

Pets indoors/outdoors

I've recently had a discussion with my girlfriend about whether it is better to keep your pets (cats and dogs) indoors at all times or not. I think that it is cruel to keep your pets restricted to indoors and she believes that it is cruel to let them go outside. She argues that if pets are allowed to go outside, then it makes them vulnerable to getting hit by cars, getting attacked by other animals, etc, and it is kindest for the pet to be kept away from all possible dangers.I argue that if the…See More
