Quote
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"
—Hunter S. Thompson

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

How's the overhaul on the jeep goin? Jeeps have got to be one of the greatest rides. It's as close to the open air as you can get. You've got to send some pics to truck lovers when you get her done. And from your page I can tell you're no stranger with film. You could give some good lessons on an artists eye!! Be well.

Hey James welcome to Truck Lovers group. I'm catching up on my mail from being out of commission for awhile do to a work injury. Just getting back on my feet. Would love to see some pics of the ole gal. From what I see your got a great eye for photography. You've got some very intriquing and provocative shots. I'm impressed. What kind of gear do you use? Safe journeys. Kurt

Welcome to Blue-collar Manliness. Feel free to begin discussions, etc. I noticed you are a linux user. I'm feeling a growing compulsion not to pay for any more versions of Windows and I am using Open Office now. I think I'll follow your posting in those groups.

In the year since then I have found I am better for having endured it, to have rised above it and made my life even better. The last 12 months have been full of almost conostant change of one form or another. At times it even felt like I was stuck on a roller coaster, and I had no idea if it would take me where I wanted to go. Thankfully…

Career change becomes life changing

Just recently I made a career change from a Customer Service Rep in a call center, to a local delivery route driver. The hours are drastically different, and the pay is much better. The hours are what I have had the biggest difficulty adjusting to, I used to work 40 hours a week, Noon to 9:00 pm with my days off being Sunday & Tuesday, with my new job I have weekends off, and work 60-70 hours a week starting Midnight till I am done. For the first few weeks all I did when I wasn't working… Continue

On November 5th, in the late afternoon, a enlisted man committed a selfish act killing 13 & wounding 30. His selfish act was not just unmanly in its selfishness, it was unmanly in that it was treason.
