Quote
"You start to die the moment you are born. The whole of life is cutting through the pack with death. So take it easy. Light a cigarette and be grateful you are still alive as you suck the smoke deep into your lungs. Your stars have already let you come quite a long way since you left your mother’s womb and whimpered at the cold air of the world … Don’t lose faith in your stars."

Paul MacAlindin replied to Zachary Stucki's discussion How do we inform more people about ISIS?
"I don't think that's fair. We're talking neighbourhoods as minorities in towns and cities. Mosul is a city in Iraq with 2 million people. I do however agree that Christians and other minorities in Mosul were driven out by ISIS,…"

Paul MacAlindin replied to Zachary Stucki's discussion How do we inform more people about ISIS?
"All the suggestions I've seen are rational, in the circumstances.  However, a huge thing we can al do in our own countries, is to make sure that our Muslim individuals and populations, and anyone who even looks Middle Eastern, is protected…"

Basically, I have invested $2,000 into the car on preventative…See More

Regular Joe replied to Zachary Stucki's discussion How do we inform more people about ISIS?
"I don't think we need to do that. Western, and specifically American, media and culture is omnipresent throughout the world including on social media. You're just desensitized to it because its presence is part of your everyday…"

Rick Shelton replied to Paul MacAlindin's discussion Privilege is invisible to those who have it
""bootstraps" It's a commonly used term and is relevant to the discussion and isn't anywhere near out of date.  As a matter of fact, all I have to do is look down towards my feet (after lifting my pant leg) and I can see two…"

Paul MacAlindin replied to Zachary Stucki's discussion How do we inform more people about ISIS?
"From the perspective of my adopted home, Germany, I don't see people griping. I see a huge public debate, part of which is fuelled by neo-Nazis burning down accommodation for asylum seekers, another part of which comes from decent Germans who,…"
