Going out with my friends, music, movies, and clothes. That's a pretty basic list for me.
Books
Anything by Bukowski is good. I enjoy Hemingway as well.
Movies
Inglourious Basterds, movies directed by Clint Eastwood, The Dark Knight, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Knocked up, Zombieland, and 40 Year Old Virgin. I enjoy comedies but I tend to stick with more serious movies.
Music
The Clash, the Replacements, Kings of Leon, Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash, the Zombies, and the Rolling Stones. I'll listen to anything so long as I can relate to it.

Thanks for the add, David. Have you ever worked in a library before? If not, try either getting a part-time job or volunteering at your local library. I worked in libraries all through my undergrad (community college and also my alma mater). And when I decided to go back to grad school (got my Master's degree in library science from University of Pittsburgh), I volunteered at my neighborhood's local branch - a good experience.

If you have any other questions, I would be glad to try and answer them. Good luck to you!
