Concerts for a 30-something guy

Started this discussion. Last reply by Ray May 27, 2011. 5 Replies

I'm in my mid-30s, and my tastes in music run the gamut from country and modern rock to pop, r&b, and oldies.  It would be cool to go to more concerts, but lately I've been wondering which ones…Continue

Sick of stuff not made in the USA

Started this discussion. Last reply by Matt R Dec 29, 2010. 104 Replies

I'm tired of seeing "made in China" on almost everything one buys nowadays.  Is there any way for us as consumers to get our favorite brands to start manufacturing in the USA again?Continue

Women working in men's shoe stores/departments

Started this discussion. Last reply by Jose Dec 1, 2010. 19 Replies

I know this will sound weird, but I'm curious as to whether or not other guys feel this way -- when I go shoe shopping, I don't like to be waited on by women.  If I don't actually NEED a pair of…Continue

Don't really read for pleasure ... but I do enjoy books related to pop culture or true crime. And let's not forget the Bible!
Too many to list ... I enjoy comedies, crime dramas, thrillers, some action, and some horror.
My musical tastes run the gamut -- from country, modern rock, and pop to 50s rock and doo-wop, 60s and 70s classic rock, 70s disco (I often joke I'm the only straight guy who likes disco), and anything from the 80s and early 90s.

Hi there Dave. Welcome to AoM. Also, I'd like to give you a friendly invite to check out my group, The Great Debate. Just click on "Groups." It's the one with the colorful galaxy picture. It's also one of the most active groups on AoM. In any case, great to have you with us.

First date: success not optional but mandatory

I have a date tomorrow night with a girl I met online. While this may sound like great news and the answer to lifelong joy, I want to make sure that this leads to a second date, and that I don't make a "death move" to end all chances of seeing her again. This is the early cultivation phase of a relationship, the kind of relationship I have been praying for , that leads to romantic love, marriage and procreation.  All of my experience with the few dating I have has been unsuccessfulSo, at this…See More
