Hullo, old friend.

How the devil are you, sir? I was contemplating recently how little time I have been spending on AoM so thought I would cast you a message. I hope life is treating you well; I look forward to rekindling our discussions in the near future.

Kind regards,

Charles-Philippe

Hi Dan

I noticed on your list of interests you are a Civil War Reenactor.

Although not strictly related to that  activity, I was wondering if you might be able to offer some assistance.

A  friend of mine here in Australia has acquired a 1942 Willy’s Jeep  that is in need of some repairs.  He has been able to source some of the spares from of all places Singapore. (There were over 680,000 made BTW).

Anyway, I was wondering if you may be able to direct  me to someone of your acquaintance who is doing something similar in your neck of the woods.

Regards

Russell

PS: Loved your photo montage .

Sir, I assure you, that with the cold season, the mustache has returned, I am only waiting on the handlebars. I shave at times, but not so much as too cast doubt on my character!

Chaplain Dan-- I have been trying for a couple weeks now to reply to your kind messages, but something is wrong with AoM's messaging.  It won't allow me to send messages.  I tried to find you on Facebook, but there are a lot of chaps with your name.  If you look for me on Facebook, however, I think you will find relatively few, and the profile picture is the same as the one here.  Perhaps we could talk that way.  At any rate, your messages have been much appreciated, and it has only just occurred to me that I might be able to get a message to you this way, by leaving a comment.  Good Day, Sir!

I most heartily accept your proposal, kind sir!  A CW reenactor?  Then there's something we have in common right there!  (Although I'm merely armchair unfortunately....)
