What do you write your journals on?

I only write on one side of the page in my pocket notebook as it seems to soak through quite a bit. My larger Miquel Rius seems to hold the ink better and I can manage both sides but I still prefer o…

I can't figure out what color my keychain is. There wasn't a packing slip or anything that had it labeled. Any ideas?

I add a "+1" to Swisher and will add two others that I've had really good luck with: Pear Tree Pens: http://www.peartreepens.com/ - based in Ann Arbor, MI. Always helpful, quick with shipping. Pendemonium: http://www.pendemonium.com/ - based in Ft…

As an aside, I learned today that I can flip the Varsity pen upside down so the concave part of the nib is facing up to get a much finer line. I still, of course, want a nicer pen but this makes me feel a lot better about what I'm using in the mean…

Well, it varies. I put on a tattoo symbolizing the good father within who drives away the abuser. And I am considering another one, symbolizing strength. I may use the Chinese ideograph for this. Both of these are personally meaningful, and have t…

Don't just throw a fountain pen in your bag. It may leak or it might not but if it does your stuff could be ruined.

I've been using fountain pens for about 4 years now and I've had really good luck with most of the Chinese pens I've ordered. Bookworm 663's, Hero's and Pailongs are a really good start. Some Wing Sungs are good but I've had super cheap models of th…

+1 to the Fountain Pen Network. I'd also recommend Richard's Pens website as a good resource. I'm in the process of formulating some responses to your other questions, and should be able to post back soon.

Thanks guys. Will, you may be right, focusing on the positive rather than the negative. I guess my stumbling block there is what symbolizes the solution? Not sure about that. Either way this isn't going to be something that happens tomorrow. I'm ex…

Awesome advice. Thanks, Chad. The FP Network looks like a really amazing resource as well. I notice they have a "Pay It Foward" thread as well that you might want to check out if you haven't already. Might be able to score some free swag.

I've come to the conclusion that it is probably something that will never be "cured" just as an alcoholic will always be an alcoholic. I will, someday, learn to control it and not let it rule my life but there will probably always be episodes where the black dog will return from the shadows and haunt me again. Thi

Real Bad Day

Anti-depressants not cutting it anymore. Not interacting with my kids or wife. Staring at the computer screen. Everything grey. Things have to get better.

Great Times

Nothing profound I just felt the need to let everyone know I had a great night with my girls. They're great kids and I'm having a moment where I realize how lucky I am.

3. No porn, per Ning ToS. Anything racy must have NSFW included.
