"Well, if you're being deployed I guess my advice isn't going to be much help, but to anyone else intersted here goes. EXERCISE! Work out. A friend of mine smokes on and off. He doesn;t smoke when he's sticking to an exercise regimen,…"
"I was smoking on average three packs of cowboy killers in the box a day. When I quite, I quit cold turkey and did not touch any tobacco products at all for three years. (I went to a pipe and cigars.)
All I can tell you is to make the commitment…"
"When I was going to quit, I told my sister and she asked, "How long do you plan on quitting?" I told her, forever. She said, "then make that your statement" - "I am going to quit smoking forever!" It helps to have a…"
"When you lost someone dearest to you, you just re-valuate your life and health. When I lost my father I decided to be a straight edge guy. Altho I was not a serious smoker by that time already, I smoked when I had a bender with the guys. But by then…"
"Hand roll. Its what I've prescribed to a lot of clients that wanted to stop and struggled. When you have to stop what you're doing and roll a cigarette every time you need a fix, it really brings it into focus. Its how I quit, and its how…"
"Don't look at it like quitting, as much as "replacing" smoking. It's a habit, maybe even a little bit of a hobby. You want to fill that nasty space with something that isn't "bad". It doesn't have to be…"
"I used nicotine gum and it worked great. After a while you are addicted to the gum which is easier to replace with non-nicotine gum. Of course, I quit after I left the military. I think the gum worked great for me but it can be expensive. Thank you…"
"It can be hard.
I mean it does take many people MULTIPLE attempts to quit. So simply cutting down to half a pack is a great accomplishment.
Have you tried using that nicotine gum or the patch? (I've never used them but I know plenty of…"
"Hey man...this is a hard one to tackle, because everyone's deployment is different, as are the reactions.
My last deployment was horrible, I was in Baghdad for the Surge and ended up getting MEDEVACed back to the States. Because of all the…"
"The terminal lance comic is hilarious. The only thing better than 1SG's wives are Fobbit-ass Sergeant Majors. Females especially. Seriously. Hate it.
And I don't know about the Corps, but I know over here in the Army we don't get…"
"I never served in the military (flat feet and a leg I messed up in high school) but I've known more than a few who served in both peacetime and in war. Here's something that gets me choked up every time I read it (and I'm not a…"
"Hope you have an awesome Birthday, today, Caleb! Haven't seen you around much, man. I hope all is well. If my memory serves, you are on deployment right now. Let us know what's going on with you. OK?"
I have worked for a couple different companies as a contractor since 2007. I've worked for KBR and Wackenhut. Right now I contract for the Air Force through Sallyport Global Services and URS/Berger at Joint Base Balad. We do theater wide HazMat Remediation.
Your coming over at a good time, the end of summer. It is starting to cool down so the heat isn't as unbearable! Just remember to keep your head down and try to find ways to have fun.
I tried to send this through a private message, but the message center is down.
It has both manual and auto modes.
Battery life depends on use. With average us (a few shots everyday) I would charge it about once a week, maybe even less.
There's nothing wrong with it. It's in what I would consider excellent condition. The only reason I'm selling it is because I want to upgrade and my wife told me I have to sell this camera before I can buy a new one.
Don't feel bad for asking questions. I'm happy to answer any questions you have. You have to ask them to know what you are getting. I would do the exact same thing.
I always say passion is the most important things for education. If you are following your passion you will find opportunity. I know a lot of students who took up majors because they thought it was practical or easy and they are the ones…"
I started with philosphy, which I enjoyed, but realized that there wasn't much of a future in. Then I switched to International Relations. It meshes with my current job and I could have stuck with it, but it wasn't something I was…"
First, glad you found a major you enjoy, and second I think you have a great mindset to try and give back. Thank you for that.
Which majors did you change from before you settled on Natural Science? "
"Working on my B.S. of Natural Science w/ a concentration in Earth Science. I've changed my degree a few times, but I am pretty sure I'm sticking with this one. I have a love for science and truly enjoy my classes even though they are…"
