Life as we know it at times seems insanely chaotic, as if we are on a roller coaster that never ceases. Yet at times, life seems so incredibly peaceful, as if we are sailing on the calmest sea. Sadly enough, I have came to the realization that at one point in my life, I will take one last breath and life as I know it will come to an end. Recently I have been so deeply convicted to truly live my life to the absolute fullest. This conviction is not birthed out of the fear of the unknown, it is a… Continue

The Pursuit-an effort to capture

Have you ever thought what this world would look like if the majority of people would be persistent in the pursuit of their dreams? I am deeply moved and humbled by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In the face of countless adversities, trials, sacrifices, and moments of success Dr King never waffled from his pursuit of his dreams for humanity. In recent days I am learning the root of many of humanity's issues is lack of discipline. Many people that have crossed my path throughout my journey have struggled financially as a result of not having discipline to not overspend. Many people like myself have struggled with their weight due to lack of discipline with their eating habits. Many people that struggle with gossiping is due to lack of discipline with their tongue. Many children act up or don't obey due to lack of discipline.… Continue

Chad, Your blogs put me into rememberance of what I am supposed to be doing such as discipline and having my focus on Christ. It would sure defeat my depression. Thanks.

Oh by the way, I used to worked for Lauren Engineers for over a year. While in Abilene I helped the architect design the addition on North 1st St. My drawings called for an exact duplicate of the original 1906 architecture.

Hey, Chad. I wasn't offended by your "barstool theology" post, in fact, I'm glad that you posted it. I hope I didn't offend you in my response--I'm just passionate about Christ (as I'm sure you are) and defending the truth once and forever entrusted to the saints.

Hi there Chad. Welcome to AoM. I just drove through your town the other day on my way back home from the holidays. Anyway, thought I'd also give you a friendly invite to check out my group, The Great Debate. Just click on "Groups." It's the one with the colorful galaxy picture. It's one of the most active groups on AoM right now. In any case, great to have you aboard.

Manly Artists & Connoisseurs

Sometimes a man feels he needs to express things visually that aren't all that attractive. Respect for our thoughts and ideas are hard to come by in our current "politically correct" world. No need to be polite here. Show us what you got. It could be a drawing, painting, political cartoon, caricature -- any kind of art -- by you or someone else.See More

Carl S replied to 2risewhenfallen's discussion Any Highly Recommended Parenting Books?
"Forget the books. Set an example by being the kind of man you would want your sister to end up with. And set the expectations (politely) for the live-in about how he needs to act in the home. Some rent, yard work, clean the bathrooms, etc. Not try…"

"I live in the Land of 10,000 lakes and grew up here fishing a number of them.  Unfortunately, geography and the type of fish you're looking to catch plays a large role into how to fish.  I don't have any experience in Nevada, so…"

J. Exalto replied to J. Exalto's discussion What kind of woman are you interested in?
"I'm well aware that this dynamic can exist between two men as well, I just thought that most of the guys here wouldn't have any insight on that situation, which I found equally confusing. I've never wanted anything like a male-female…"

J. Exalto replied to J. Exalto's discussion What kind of woman are you interested in?
"Thank you for the insight.  I'm realizing that I value traditionally masculine attributes much more than traditionally feminine attributes like being supportive and nurturing, which never even occurred to me as something to view positively…"

Heath Edward O'Donnell replied to Heath Edward O'Donnell's discussion Gaming and Proper Social Actions
"Absolutely. But if the common ground is degrading to a woman, it's time to change tactics. I once, while drunk, delivered a hypnotic slasher smile staredown to a guy during a similar incident at a bar. Ended fairly quickly. Did not get girls…"
