Quote
“I have been asked what I mean by "word of honor." I will tell you. Place me behind prison walls — walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into ground — there is a possibility that in some way or another I may be able to escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of that circle? No, never. I'd die first.” -Karl G. Maeser

The Horror of Day to Day Life

I was thinking about how with a change in perspective and the tone of language we used to describe something, we can easily make many day to day things into warped horror movie premises. Examples:When we eat meat and seafood, we are eating corpses. The terms meat and seafood basically exist because saying that we are eating corpses or flesh is really unpleasant sounding. We also say meat "went bad" or "spoiled" because actually describing it as flesh that has decomposed more than what we are…See More
