Hi folks,

I thought I had better post and update you all on our family's progress.

Our first child was born on September 8th. She (a girl!) was 8lbs 1oz at birth. She is now very big and beautiful. She is 8 weeks and 1 day today. All is well. After an 18 hour labour, it ended up a caesarian delivery. The professionals aren't quite sure why she didn't come out, possibly due to her head being VERY wide.

My wife is pregnant with our first child. There are only 29 days left till our due date! Things are getting pretty real now.

Now, I'm not sure if it's because my antennae are up or if this is a real social trend, but I feel like I'm seeing more and more in the media about manhood and fatherhood. Blogs, Radio, News reports, water-cooler talks... I feel there's someone talking about the gravity and importance of fathers and men in society.
