- Baroque chamber music, primarily. Occasionally more modern fare such as Mozart string quartets and Hadyn woodwind ensembles may fit the mood. Elizabethan court music also sits quite well. (If I'm feeling REALLY frisky, some good 1890's-1900's rags can do rather nicely- or even some Mike Oldfield.)

Progress on the Series I instrument fascia.

The instrument fascia in my Series I was at one time brass plated by a previous owner. Although it looked quite nice for some time after it was done, in the 27 years that I have known this vehicle, the plating has bubbled and peeled, allowing elecrolytic corrosion to take place between the layers of dissimilar metals. I therefore decided to refresh the offending panel.

Considering a change in my automotive stable

This past weekend, I was able to accomplish some (but by no means all) of my long-delayed automotive maintenance needs. I ran the 'Rover up to full operating temperature and exercised the clutch, all while enjoying that peculiarly British scent of warm 90-weight gear oil and overheated electrical insulation. I have made a credible start to my rewiring project in order to make it road-legal for the upcoming winter months, and we should also be ready for new Deep Bronze Green paint by the end…

I suppose it's all part of the joys and challenges of living the via media that Anglican clergy are either mistaken for Roman clergy when they wear pontifical collars [I'm sure we both have some stories of Anglican clergy wearing pontifical collars while dating their wives.] or for Dissenters in a "yoke," at least States-side.
