Armouring is a funny thing.  If I answer "yes" or "no" to making armour I would feel less than honest.  No matter what you buy for SCA fighting you will end up doing more rigging and maintenance than than some people will do to a car in 10 years.  It is easier for me to make armour for someone else than fit it to myself. 

I am mostly focused on the fighting (and looking good) part rather than the armouring part of the hobby.  There are some good full time armourers out there.  You might want to check out:  http://armourarchive.org/
