This is a photo of my Latvian grandpa as a kid. Spookily I hadn't seen this photo before I bought my breton cap and pea-coat, so I unwittingly looked just like this all winter.

Interesting how things come full circle like that sometimes. I have a shot of my grandpa at a DP camp somewhere with some friends - when I was 17 (the age he was in the picture) my mom dug it up and we looked pretty much the exact same - down to the haircut. Even creeped grandma out a little.
