1948 Gillette Aristocrat w NOS Blue Blade Dispenser

This is a Vintage 1948 Gillette Aristocrat Safety Razor plated in gold w NOS Blue Blades.

It is very clean, with no scrapes or scratches at all which would be expected in a razor of this

age. This razor is in Very Good+ condition. There is no plate loss or brassing any place on this

beautiful razor. The NOS Blades are in Mint condition as can be seen in the pictures.



The razors silo doors open and close smoothly and lock down tight. There is no date code or

serial number on this razor and it has the notch on the center bar for a blade dispenser which was

added in 1948. It is built like a tank to last, and the weight distribution is as well

balanced from the head to the thicker barber pole style handle. Heavier than the Gillette Tech /

Super Speed, this razor is a breeze to finger grip and control. I would grade it as medium

aggressiveness like the earlier 1934 version.



This razor is one that is very hard to find, it works great and opens very smooth and

closes tightly, very well aligned. This is another great razor to add to your collection or to

be used as a daily shaver. You better grab this one fast as it won't stay up for sale long!!
