1949 Gillette Milord Safety Razor with Case

1949 Gillette Milord Safety Razor with Case
RICHARDS RAZORS; MAKE ME AN OFFER I CAN'T REFUSE!

Vintage 1949 Gillette "TTO" Gold "MILORD" Safety Razor, with original case that is in good
vintage condition. The outside of the box has a small amount of scuffing on it, which can be seen
in the pictures. On the inside backing it has "Gillette Milord". It has a mark where the razor
was bumping against it. The razor is very clean with just a small bit of plate loss on the edges
of the head. It has no rust or major scratches. It has a notched blade bar which dates it to
1949. The doors open and close smoothly and close tight. There is some loss of plating on the top
of the razor Also included is a container of Gillette Super Blue Blades. It has been cleaned
and sanitized with Barbacide and antibacterial soap; cleaned, oiled and is shave ready. Please
the check pictures as they are part of the description. Please ask questions; I will try to
answer them to the best of my ability.

Thanks for looking, I'm certain you will enjoy your purchase, as this item is "VERY" highly
collectible and are getting much much harder to find. In this "Brave New World" of throw away
razors (such as Bic and modern day Gillette's) safety razors such as this will unfortunatly never
be seen again.

MY OPINION:
Have you ever considered that modern plastic "razors" (if you want to call them that, personally
I think they should NOT be called razors but "hair removal devices) are made from oil; a quickly
diminishing natural resource, as you can easily see by the steadily rising gasoline prices. Can
you imagine the number of plastic objects that end up in our landfills and oceans; I say "DOWN
WITH THE PLASTIC HAIR REMOVAL DEVICES"; "UP WITH THE PAST REUSEABLE RAZORS".

Terms of Sale:
When I describe an object as 'VINTAGE' or 'ANTIQUE' they will have the typical wear and tear you
would expect with an older piece. Light scratches, scuffing & crazing and such like would be
expected as opposed to a NEW condition. If an item is in MINT condition I will say so. If an item
has any major issues - dents, deep marks, stains or heavy scratches etc. I will bring these to your
attention in my description. All sales final.
