1922 Gillette Bostonian Safety Razor in Original Box (3)

1922 Gillette Bostonian Safety Razor in Original Box (3)

1922 Gillette Bostonian Safety Razor in Original Box

This item is a shaving kit and comes complete with the Original box which is in fantastic
condition. The inside of the case is lined in Royal Purple fabric with no issues. The writing on
the inside of the case lid is clear and legible. As the lid opens the razor raises out of the
case. Made in the USA by Gillette Manufacturing during 1922 indicated by the serial number
231761B. The razor itself is in pristine condition, with the silver plating in terrific shape.
The case has a tiny bit of wear on the top and bottom which can be seen in the pics, they should
come out with a good polishing. There is a very small stress crack at the top of the handle
which is normal for this razor and doesn't affect it's use.

Everything screws together nicely and the teeth look good. This is one very beautiful close to
perfect shaving kit. None of the teeth of the open tooth comb are broken or bent, in my opinion
this kit is in almost mint condition. Please be sure to look at the pictures as they are part of
the description.

One of the Gillette razors introduced after 1921 and a part of 'The New Improved' Gillette line,
was the Bostonian. The safety razor with improved features such as the flat top guards, the
comb teeth being heavier and stronger then Old Type razors, and the diamond pattern knurling on the
handles. This razor is exceptionally clean and shows very few signs of use. The razor is a
perfect and very shiny silver plated razor. These shaving kits are becoming hard to come by,
don't let this pass you by. This razor has been carefully and thoroughly cleaned, sanitized,
oiled and comes 100% shave-ready.

expected as opposed to a NEW condition. If an item is in MINT condition I will say so. If an item
