I'm quite glad I could help with the tagline. I'm happy to say I believe it rings true. From lighting up a cigarette to starting a camp fire and even as far as providing survival in the field, you cannot do better than a zippo.

If I might say, I've recently listened to one of the AoM podcasts and they were discussing the drive in men to chose a more expensive but lasting quality product over cheap quantity oriented products. I see this as true for the zippo. If cared for appropriately, it will give you a lifetime of service and be passed on to your young ones.

A friend of mine has his grandfathers army issue zippo from WWII. It still works perfect and his eyes light up with pride whenever he has occasion to use it.

I've wanted to try the pipe lighter for a while now. Found a bundle package with a peterson pipe and a zippo pipe lighter but trying to save some funds before I buy it.

Sadly just lost my only zippo. Received it as a gift when I joined the Fire Department so I'm pretty sore about it.

Zippo is a real mans lighter.

How about personal stories involving Zippos?

I just bought a chrome pipe lighter and it works like a charm. No I know some pipe smokers out there will look down on me for not using matches but I just love the sound a Zippo makes when you open and close it.

How to gain more respect from people around you (lost article)

I was wondering if anyone here could help me. I once read an article on AoM (I'm pretty sure it was) about how to behave and act to gain more respect from your friends and the people around you. There's very little I can recall from the article. I think though there was some tip about when you start talking to group of people you should not turn your front directly at them at first, instead you should wait for them to turn their front at you... don't know if this helps anyone remembering the…See More
