Wrestling Fight Club

This group is for anyone interested in the sport of wrestling, whether you wrestled in school or are just a fan and want to learn.  People say it's a dying sport but the popularity of MMA has really brought home the importance of wrestling as a skillset that every man needs, especially anyone interested in martial arts in general.  Hopefully this can facilitate discussion and people looking for training partners in their area

I joined because I have always liked to wrestle, in spite of how little I have done so. My dad and I wrestled on the living room floor when I was a kid, and he taught me some basics since he wrestled in high school. One of the best moments of my life was when I wrestled a future roommate. Would like to ease into it again while I lose some weight and get in better shape.

A quick update, Wrestling has been selected to stay through 2020 with some rule changes and weight class changes. Also the world championships finished up last week. unfortunately its was not our best showing, only one medalist. However, the one medal was gold and has an amazing story behind it. Long story short Jordan Burroughs broke his ankle 3 weeks before competition. He had surgery the next day to put in 5 screws and a plate and was not able to wrestle until a day before competition. He won and out scored his opponents 37 to 3. Truly amazing! It is being discussed (at least in the wrestling community) if he is the greatest athlete of all time. has anyone ever heard of an accomplishment like this?

Have you guys heard about the new rule changes for freestyle? They were just approved by FILA. There are some big changes that are supposed to make wrestling more exciting and increase scoring.

by the way I am not affiliated with them, I just like that they cover a lot of wrestling

Feel free to message me. Also I have found www.Flowrestling.org to be a great resource for wrestling in the U.S, if anyone is looking to follow the sport more.

I'm looking to start competing in some opens, even though I expect to get my ass kicked for a while - but it's a way of focusing my training and whatnot.  We should talk bro -- I'd like to hear from people who are actively competing right now as well

Thanks, does anyone here still compete? Although i finished my collegiate career I'm still looking to compete in the freestyle scene.

"What you owe is a variable from the get-go based on the size of your payments, how long it takes you to pay back the money, how the lender decides to change the terms and conditions (which is his right), etc. In most settlements, the value of the…"
