Wrestling Fight Club

This group is for anyone interested in the sport of wrestling, whether you wrestled in school or are just a fan and want to learn.  People say it's a dying sport but the popularity of MMA has really brought home the importance of wrestling as a skillset that every man needs, especially anyone interested in martial arts in general.  Hopefully this can facilitate discussion and people looking for training partners in their area

Finished 2nd in a sumo tourney yesterday. Won my division, but lost overall to a guy who weighed 70 lbs more than me. I've beaten guys that size before, but this guy is an undefeated wrestler who has never lost a tournament. But, happy with my performance.

I won my sumo tournament today. Won weight class with a perfect 7-0 record. Won the overall as the only wrestler without a loss. Three of the guys I beat were half my age.

After 30 years, suffered my first wrestling injury last night. Fell hard on side of face and lost a back tooth. Had fixed this morning. Lol, my dentist is in my wrestling club.

"Most switchblades are not very useful - blade wise. The very good ones are very expensive, and finicky to unreliable at best. A fixed blade (even a small one) is better in a fight. But no knife is going to turn the odds when that overmatched. "
