I'm converting a small room into a workshop, and today I built some cabinetry.  Used a nice birch plywood.

Hey Guys!  I just celebrated my 65th Birthday and with my supportive wife's encouragement, purchased the following item.  It is a W. W. Carey 16" jointer, circa late 19th century.  It came out of a lumber mill in western New Hampshire.  Originally designed for flat belt drive (water wheel, probably), it has a stepped v-belt pulley.  I will get a big honkin' motor to drive it at its rated 4500 RPM.  I am going to try and post two pictures of her!

DIY group has a current project thread.  We have an "Our work in Pictures" thread.  It could be used for that purpose.

Just joined, so a little about my woodworking experience: I want more! I am interested in building my humidor and just odds and ends projects. I have been trying to read up on the subject, but with school, it is hard to find time.
