Comment by John on April 9, 2012 at 9:53am Hey Guys! I just celebrated my 65th Birthday and with my supportive wife's encouragement, purchased the following item. It is a W. W. Carey 16" jointer, circa late 19th century. It came out of a lumber mill in western New Hampshire. Originally designed for flat belt drive (water wheel, probably), it has a stepped v-belt pulley. I will get a big honkin' motor to drive it at its rated 4500 RPM. I am going to try and post two pictures of her!
Just gettin into woodworking. Gathering basic tools at the moment and refinishing dressers. What's the best web page to go to for more learing on the subject and project plans?

Comment by Harry Dresden, Wizard on November 1, 2011 at 7:58am Just joined, so a little about my woodworking experience: I want more! I am interested in building my humidor and just odds and ends projects. I have been trying to read up on the subject, but with school, it is hard to find time.
