Brush: Semogue 620

Soap: Mama Bear's Barbershop

BBS in 3 passes.  I had to use this soap again to make sure it wasn't a fluke last time.  It wasn't.  I kept getting wiffs of the the scent through out the day last time I used it and I loved it.  I still love it.  Great soap.  Can't wait to try more of her scents.  I'm thinking Dragon's Blood next...

I'm on my 3rd tub of Dragon's Blood. It's my go to soap.

Sunday, November 4th

Razor: Merkur 34c

Blade: Crystal (10)

Brush: Semogue 620

Soap: VDH Deluxe

A/S: Cold Water/Witch Hazel

BBS in 3 passes with a touch-up along the jaw.  I wasn't sure I expected to get this good of results out of a soap that cost me about 2 bucks, but I was quite surprised.  It was a great shave.  Rich lather, nice cushion, and it didn't dry me out.  With the cost and the availability of this soap, I see this as being one I can keep in my cabinet and reach for it from time to time and know exactly what I will get.

Election Day 2012

Razor: '53 Gillette Super Speed

Blade: Crystal (1)

Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip

Soap: TOBS Sandalwood

A/S: Cold Water/Witch Hazel

BBS in 3 passes.  A great shave today.  The TOBS whipped up nice and fluffy, and as suspected the Crystal blade performed flawlessly in the Super Speed.  The Crystal is now officially my blade of choice.  I have run it through every razor that I currently own, and know that it would be a good investment to buy a 100 pack of these blades to have on hand.  I have no doubts that today will be a great day, as I will no doubt be getting whiffs of the sandalwood scent through out the day.

Happy Voting Everyone...

Razor: Merkur 34HD

Blade: Wilkinson (4)

Brush: VDH Boar

Soap: Ogallala Sweet Orange and Bay Rum

A/S: Hot Rinse, Cold Rinse, Thayers Lavendar Witch Hazel

A/S: The Clubman

Thursday, November 8th

Razor: '53 Gillette Super Speed

Blade: Crystal (2)

Brush: Pure Badger Travel Brush

Soap: Mama Bear's Barbershop

A/S: Cold Water/Witch Hazel

BBS in 3 passes today.  I'm starting to realize how much I don't like the Pure Badger Brush I have.  Its scritchy, it doesn't hold water well, it won't lather like my silvertip or my Semogue Boar even.  I have purchased a new brush, a Frank's Shaving Best which I will post pics of next week, so the Pure Badger may wind up sitting in the back of my cabinet for a while, and that puts me in the market for a travel brush that I might actually enjoy using.  I do love Mama Bear's Soaps.  I'm gonna love sniffing on this Barbershop scent all day today.  I am going to try Mitchell's Wool Fat, so I will be placing an order at West Coast probably tonight or tomorrow.  Excited about that order as it will contain new blades to try, some Bay Rum A/S, and some soaps and creams.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day...

Razor: '53 Gillette Super Speed

Blade: Crystal (3)

Brush: Semogue 620

Soap: Mama Bear's Barbershop

A/S: Cold Water/Witch Hazel

DFS in 3 passes today.  My lather was way too thin and resulted in my missing quite a few spots, hence the DFS.  I should have reloaded the brush, but I chose to soldier on.  Mama Bears was slick enough that I had no irritation though.  Because of this, I worked on some lathering today, with the Semogue and the my new Frank's Shaving Best, I have realized that when loading my brush I have had it way to wet.  I need to shake it more, load it longer, and add water when I am lathering in the bowl.  I had some great lathers earlier when trying it this way.  Anyway....
